A century ago, Frank King Sr. returned from service in WWI and embarked on a business venture with his new wife Dorothy, and her parents Charles and Edith Betz. Together they purchased a corner grocery store in a small Pennsylvania town and named it King & Betz. Early advertising promised “Fancy Groceries”, “City Dressed Meats” and “Prompt Free Delivery”. High quality products paired with excellent service.

As the family grew, the neighborhood store lived up to those ideals over the ensuing decades, and embraced others including unwavering ethics, love of family, community service, and responsible citizenship. Continuing to offer quality products with excellent service, family members also served on school boards, town council, in the armed services, and became a driving influence in their faith organization. In WWII, five brothers proudly served their country and thankfully returned home safely.

The founding members of this firm are committed to the values this family established a century ago and each has their own story to share. Together they are inspired by the character of those who came before and strive to achieve and build upon their legacy.

Lindenwold Advisors will maintain the highest ethical standards with diligent service, provide high quality investment solutions, and demonstrate responsible and active community involvement. The firm’s founding members aspire to serve clients in a way that honors the moral compass set in the last century by the family business in the small town on Lindenwold Avenue.

Local artist Elizabeth Wagman expressed her fondness for King & Betz and the family in this original watercolor, circa 1968.
